The incredible care from all of the staff truely saved her, including being transferred from our local hospital in a specialist retrieval ambulance which acted as an intensive care unit. She would not have survived the journey in a normal ambulance. I know that Friends of PICU have just been able to purchase a brand new retrieval ambulance, but they are starting to fundraise for a replacement for 3 years time. It is vital that the unit get this ambulance, as many children die without the use of it. The charity work so hard to raise as much as possible to help the unit's staff, patients and families. The work they do is invaluble, and they need all the funds they can get. Please support them.Sophianoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8772499907076825081.post-52744883295974327802012-05-07T07:25:47.488-07:002012-05-07T07:25:47.488-07:00Incredible unit, we lost our daughter Grace just 1...Incredible unit, we lost our daughter Grace just 10 months ago aged 3, she was treated on the unit for a wk.
